The client
For a number of years William Vann has commissioned me to design publicity materials for concerts he has conducted, at a number of venues including Cadogan Hall in Chelsea, SW3. A multiple prize-winning accompanist and accomplished choral, orchestral and operatic conductor, William is also the Artistic Director of the London English Song Festival, the Director of Music at the Royal Hospital Chelsea and the Music Director of Dulwich Choral Society.

The lighting during the concerts is often subdued, so one of my main concerns is to ensure the best possible legibility in these conditions. Additionally, the pieces are often sung in another language, primarily German, so in the programme, the German text is accompanied by the English translation.
